Graced by the illustrious presence of our glorious chairman (Terry!) this match ended in deadlock.
Hoping for a big win for AFC (Hertford were way below the Creasey Park side in the Southern Central One) but the Hertford varmints pressed from the start, and deservedly led 1-0 at half-time. Two early fluke goals from AFC in the second half, both deflected from almost on the goal line, were negated by another good Hertford shot. AFC still in the play-off positions, Hertford looking too good to remain near the bottom, in a division where anything can happen and often does.
