Martin Gittings

Post by DarrenW »

Not easy viewing I admit for anyone who remembers him during his playing days. Glad to see he got a hero welcome at Stevenage yesterday.

Keep fighting Gitts.

Agree the Martin Gittings I remember was a unit. Strong as an Ox and looked and played like it.

I wish those moving had stopped to show some respect all be it they probably never saw him play but still.

RIP Martin. Only actually ever saw him play once at Hitchin, right at the end of his career when he had to wear a knee brace and was not the player he once was. A local legend.

I think he only played for us for a couple of months. Had a bad leg injury that kept him out awhile. I think he attempted a comeback with Arlesey when they was in the South Midlands.
