My wife Hannah found this nice item on Hitchin market... clearly an impressive crowd the day the artist visited

Impressive Russell. I have an ashtray from that era, but not the centenary one. Good find.

Hitchin was a working class town back then with people born & bred supporting their team. It was standing room only in the windy corner Tea Room with the Bedford Road exits opened at the end to assist crowd dispersal
