I expected more from a Barton side which included Josh Mollison, Max Ryan and Jemale Mackenzie Lowe. Though bottom of the table, under new management, having parted with Yella, Barton reached half-time only one down; but they collapsed in the second half.
Had a chat with the father-in-law of Cliff Hercules. He is also the grandfather of AFC winger Max Hercules; memories of the legendary Cliff (of Ducks fame) were shared.
For AFC: Frates still going strong at 38; Lucas starring in midfield; Lewis Thorpe back from injury at full back.
As the game was nearing its close several ground hoppers were preparing to go to Kempston for a 3pm kick-off, and a Barton Rovers fan arrived believing the AFC game was also a 3pm kick-off.
