Happiness is scoring a last minute equaliser. Despair is conceding a soft goal in injury time to lose that point.
AFC were without the suspended Lucas, but were otherwise well represented. A bad defensive error had gifted lowly Thame the lead early doors, and AFC's Arel Amu had struck a post (his shot that is). AFC not at their best, gifting the winner to the visitors seconds after equalising. A good crowd of 170.
Admission £5. Great programme £2. A 'hopper' from Newport Pagnell was pleased with the result................................

Stevenage 1 Gillingham 0

You made a better choice than me, Anthony!
First visit to Broadhall Way for about 10 years. Nothing much has changed about the ground except the new North Stand - and based on yesterday's game vs Gillingham, if the standard of football has changed, it has got worse!
Both sides were guilty of 90 minutes of hoofing the ball and play-acting to kid the referee. And this is how Stevenage are pushing for promotion to the Third Division (in the charge of former convicted criminal Steve Evans).
Sadly, Kane Smith was on the bench and stayed on the bench.
Maybe they were saving themselves for their big cup ties against Villa and Hitchin. Neither side should be intimidated on this showing.

Villa must have read your posting and been over-confident Colin
