Heartbeat for the loverly Yorkshire setting and the 60’s music, have visited Goathland ( Adensfield) many times including trips on the North York’s steam railway.

I used to live very close to the BBC RIverside studios where they filmed some outdoor night scenes for Z cars as well as indoor scenes. It was known for the cast to sometimes go to Chancellors pub across from the studio. These studios recorded a variety of shows and some stars would be seen around where I lived or in the pub having a quick drink.

Not one to bring up old threads but particularly liked this line from Regan on the Sweeney today.

"Thank god for the overtime or i'd have had to watch Fulham play"

Love it and while it was before my time Citizen Smith also implied Fulham was not a team worth watching.

The only TV cops I remember from over 50 years ago are Dixon and Charles Barlow (Stratford Johns?). C.I Barlow was a great character, both likeable and hateable at the same time.
