Due to illness it has been 5 years since Cavendish has been on the tour the France and six years since his last win. He was a late replacement in the team for the tour this year.
He has become the best sprinter in the tour this year and we can now say that he is the greatest sprinter ever seen n the Tour de France.
The question now is, with 2 sprint stages left, the last in Paris, can Cav get his 35th win and hold the record outright.
