CYCLE TRACK?
Hitchin urban council's surveyor is to report to the council on the practicability of siting a cycle track on King George's Field.
A report to the general purposes committee submitted at the council meeting on Tuesday said that Mr H.E.Hutson, of the Hitchin Aces Cycle Speedway Club had asked whether a site could be provided on the council's land in St John's Road.
The committee could not recommend the use of this land as a cycle track as it was their opinion that it should be laid out as a children's playing area
as soon as possible.
