With Burkey quoted earlier in the week as saying we had missed 6 out of 7 penalties (also stated in Pipeman's match report) and the interviewer on the post game interview with Brett and Dan saying it was 8 out of 10, perhaps we can decide on the correct number - I'm pretty sure we've missed 5 out of 8 now!
Draper v Rushall - Scored
Dowie @ Wisbech - Scored (keeper fumbled it in, but no woodwork involved, so I believe that's Jay's goal)
Dowie @ Banbury - Saved
Bickerstaff @ Banbury - Saved
Eadie v Rushden - Scored
Cawley v Stratford - Saved (rebound scored, but still a penalty fail)
Cawley @ Maidstone - Saved
Walster v Bromsgrove - Missed
Hoping there won't be any need to revisit this thread as future penalties will be safely dispatched (he says hopefully)!

Re: Penalty Stats
Erm not quite the end. Another miss v St Ives . This means we have now scored 3 out of 9 or 33%. Looking at some websites it looks like the the normal is 75% for scoring. Anyway a good team performance and a deserved win yesterday so no harm done.
Re: Penalty Stats
Alex Marsh should be given the task as he must have scored a few at Biggleswade FC!
Re: Penalty Stats
This has now become an extreme pressure situation for whoever gets the task of taking the next one. Taking a penalty is a nervey thing at the best of times but with so many missed already it's now 10 times worse. Burkey needs to find someone with the nerve Will Wright had & I'm guessing there are not many volunteers. If Alex did take penalties at Biggleswade give him a go. He's pretty confident but if not I wouldn't want that confidence dented by penalties if he should miss one. I'd give Rolfey a go. Didn't he used to take our penalties (until he missed a couple) but that was a while back.
Pessimists are never disappointed.
Re: Penalty Stats
After tonight's shoot out loss at Bedfont we've now scored 7 out of 14.

Aaarrgghh.
How do we sort this?
Bonus for scoring a penalty?
Fine for missing?
Or more practice?

Re: Penalty Stats
This penalty malarky has become frankly so laughable (not in a good way obviously) that it deserves documenting for club posterity.
This is the sad state of affairs excluding penalty shoot outs (in which we have performed pretty well).
Draper v Rushall - Scored
Dowie @ Wisbech - Scored (keeper fumbled it in, but no woodwork involved, so I believe that's Jay's goal)
Dowie @ Banbury - Saved
Bickerstaff @ Banbury - Saved
Eadie v Rushden - Scored
Cawley v Stratford - Saved (rebound scored, but still a penalty fail)
Cawley @ Maidstone - Saved
Walster v Bromsgrove - Missed
Walster @ St Ives - Missed
Marsh v Lowestoft - Saved
Hutchinson @ Leverstock Green - Scored
Dillon @ Rushall - Missed
So I reckon that's 4 scored out of 12. Who's next in line?
