Vs Bedfont

Not the greatest of games but felt the lads put a shift in during difficult conditions not least the ref.

Brett's red card was an absolute joke for me.

Nice to see our support in the 2nd half applauding there keeper for his freak save (Which wouldn't have counted). Wish that was seen more in football.

Thought their keeper was man of the match following his second half display which definately prevented us from securing an otherwise deserved victory.

Noticed Bedfont had a poppy on their shirts, something we should have done imo, you can get stick on ones so no need to have new shirts printed with them.

Agree Brian. Two brilliant saves and without a doubt the MOM based on who was on the pitch.

There’s really no need to have poppies on shirts. Clubs have their remembrance routines, this trend of virtue signalling is getting out of hand. People have hijacked it to express nationalism. Football is already obsessed with the military. Incidentally, in the town, the window of the empty corner of Hermitage Road store has a display of poppies and soldiers. A nice touch but it’s a shame “heros” is wrong. Heroes it should be.
