Prediction - LOWESTOFT

Post by steve.max » Tue Dec 03, 2019 8:46 am

Could not make the game so was disappointed to see us lose and once again miss a penalty.

Had a few 3-1 wins but no one got the prediction correct.

I was at the game and 'disappointed' doesn't cover it. :yuck:

Devastated and despondent after that showing.
After the win at the weekend this was definitely "After the Lord Mayor's Show"

How many times over the years have we climbed the table and put ourselves in a position to get in amongst the next group of teams above us with another win only to lose? Quite often sadly.

A really disappointing performance. Possibly a bit of the Leiston complacency kicking in again? Let's hope everyone is back on the ball again on Saturday (and if you are on the ball, pass it to a player with the same colour shirt as yourself!).

We as usual showed once again that we are unable to breakdown teams that are set up to defend. We go at them and leave gaps that leave us vulnerable to the counter attack. Barwell was the exception where a visiting team brought the game to us and for once left us with plenty of room to exploit at the back. Visiting teams tend to be set up defensively and we need to find a way of drawing them out instead of piling into a packed last third of the pitch leaving acres of space for them to race into. I think we have the pace and passing ability to become a decent counter attacking team.

Agreed Brian and what was frustrating was the continued use of the long high ball which we can’t play and just gets cut out every time!
Play it on the floor that’s what we are good at, why the management can’t see what we see I will never understand!!
