Our reusable cup scheme in the Canary Club Bar has had a refresh thanks to our sponsors Global Ardour recycling limited. We have a brand new supply of branded reusable cups for use from this weekend onwards.

We have updated our processes and till systems to make sure the system is now simpler than ever and to ensure that every single person can quickly reclaim their pound from the bar.

  • Pay for your drink using card, cash or contactless – a £1 refundable deposit for each cup will be added on to the transaction.
  • Return your cup to the bar and you will be given £1 in cash back (regardless of how you paid the deposit)
  • Alternatively if you return your cup to the allocated locations in the ground then your deposit will be donated to our charity partners

Global Ardour were really keen to support our reusable cup scheme as it aligns to their business principles around sustainability and maximising reuse. We thank them for their support.

Reusable cups on matchdays have significantly reduced the amount of rubbish generated in the ground. Not only does this provide a significant environmental benefit, removing the single use plastic cups also reduces our costs both in purchasing cups and in paying for waste removal.

Please note that Mad Squirrel do not operate a deposit system for their cups. Please return any Mad Squirrel cups to the deposit point next to their bar to enable them to be washed and reused.
