SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – TALENTBEE

Next to feature on my round up of our key Club Sponsors is also a relatively new name and in my view reflective of the recent changes evident in the demographic at Top Field. To our specialists in IT, telecoms, PCB et al, we can add Talentbee, a specialist in people solutions.

Steve Betts is the company founder and his expertise doesn’t stop at recruitment. Steve is a keen football follower with non-league being top priority, be that the Bees of Barnet or our own Top Field Canaries. Not content with watching and sponsoring, Steve has coaching badges and manages a Ladies team on Sundays, competing with our own Ladies’ teams.

Steve describes his business as follows:

Talentbee is ultimately a business that provides talent solutions – that may be for organisations looking to make a single hiring or those who are keen to fill multiple roles – perhaps during a period of growth.

As for myself, I am UEFA B qualified coach and been attending football matches across the step system for as long as I can remember. It would an educated guess that my first ever football match would have been during the Barry Fry days at Barnet and probably around 1984/1985.

I’ve enjoyed being part of recent Hitchin Town season’s – It is a friendly club which I’ve liked being a part of. The business has been made to feel very welcome and we’ve seen some entertaining football. Ultimately, I like supporting local football and have allocated budget to be able to do this, not only at Hitchin, but other clubs too in grassroots football.

It’s a nice way to give something back, I guess is the way I see it. I’ve stopped playing now but enjoyed many seasons, not quite at the same level as Hitchin, but with clubs in Hertfordshire

I spoke to Steve recently about his recollection of games at Underhill (the old Barnet ground) and like me he recalls Stan Flashman in his old mac with cigar lording over the affairs of all. Certainly a character – its little wonder that Barry Fry the Barnet Manager back then, turned out as he did? I am not saying they were a bit dodgy, but ……..?

Another sponsor who we hope will be supporting us for many seasons to come. Thanks Steve.
