JOB DESCRIPTION

Hitchin Town Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working and committed individual, or individuals, to work within the busy Medical Team.

This is a great opportunity for a Sports Therapy/Sports Rehabilitation student or recent graduate to expand on their current knowledge and develop new skills within a football club.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist the first team’s sports therapist with Match Day Medical Care, Pre and Post Match Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy and the implementation of Rehabilitation Programmes (including First Team, Ladies and Youth players). This role will allow the therapist to practically enhance their skills during training sessions and matches.

This position will include two evenings a week and Saturday throughout the football season.
This position will begin as voluntary, but there is the opportunity for paid work.

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Minimum final year of relevant degree (second year students may be considered dependent on skill set and experience).
  • Good time management and communication skills.

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES

  • Previous experience within sporting environment.
  • Insurance with relevant provider.
