U18 & U13 EJA TEAM ROUNDUP

Here is the EJA report from last week.

Our U18 EJA side were in cup action in a local derby at the weekend, having been drawn away in the Hertfordshire FA County Cup to local rivals Letchworth Garden City Eagles Reds.

Local derbies are usually tight affairs however, this proved to be the exception as our U18s ran out 7-0 winners.

Goals from Lewis Matthews, Jack Holmes, Rueben Kester and four goals from the prolific Shaun Dowler ensured our U18s had a comfortable passage through to a quarter-final tie at home to either Bishops Stortford Community FC (Youth) United or Real Stortford Lions.

Our U13s had a tough league game away to top of the table Cambridge City and went down 5-2 although the game was closer than the scoreline suggests. Alfie Harrison and Gorvin Bains were the scorers for the Canaries.

Our U16 and U14 teams were both without a game.

All four of our EJA teams are in action this weekend:

The U18s return to EJA league action on Sunday when they take on Grays Athletic at North Herts College, Hitchin, 11:00 am kickoff.

The U16s also have a league game against Grays Athletic, this time they are away at Winchmore Hill with a 10:30 am kickoff.

The U14s are in Hertfordshire FA County Cup action on Sunday in a very difficult tie at home to Oaklands Wolves Reds at Ickleford Sports & Recreation Club, with a place in the semi finals for the winners. Kickoff is 10:30 am.

Finally, the U13s have another difficult game this week when they entertain AFC Dunstable at the Arena, Baldock at 11am.

There will be no weekly bulletin this week.
