WEEKLY BULLETIN – 3RD JUN
KEITH WARREN
Unfortunately we lost another of our valued helpers and supporters with the tragic passing of Keith Warren last Sunday. Manager Mark Burke was shocked by the news:
‘’My thoughts and prayers are with Keith’s father John, his wife Sarah and his son Matthew. I first became involved with Keith and John when we asked for volunteers to join our fund raising team. They came forward and were involved in both the commercial and community side of the club. My deepest sympathy and condolences go to the Warren family’’.
Keith and John participated in the main stand naming ballot as part of our Crowdfunder and actually won. Typically they gave the naming rights to a local charity Feed Up Warm Up and the charity name is now on the stand roof.
It seems we have lost too many stalwart volunteers in recent years and it makes me realise just how vital all our volunteers are and how the club needs all of them if it is to thrive.
SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets went on sale on Wednesday and there has been a healthy uptake already. Please go to our website and order your season ticket now.
Prices are as follows:
• Adults £195
• Concessions £115
• Teenagers £30
• Under 13’s £15
Season tickets represent outstanding value. Not only do you get entry to all 21 league games but pre-season friendlies are also included. This year there is one extra home league game which means the small increase in prices is actually offset. An adult season ticket holder will get 6 free games plus the friendlies.
CLOSE SEASON WORK AT TOP FIELD BY PAUL SPRAGUE
Our series of maintenance mornings have got off to a good start. Volunteers have already started to make a dent in our ‘to do list’ with various maintenance jobs completed so far including:
- Canary Club minor repairs and maintenance
- Cleaning of gutters and roof on the main stand
- Repairs to the pitch side barriers
- Weeding and strimming
We still have plenty of jobs to help get Top Field looking in great shape ready for the start of pre-season so keep an eye on social media and the weekly bulletin for future dates.
MATCH DAY VIDEOGRAPHER
Over the last few seasons we have enjoyed have video footage of various events and matchday highlights courtesy of Eddy Reilly. Unfortunately, as Eddy will be moving on to University, we are now searching for a new videographer. Video footage really helps to provide high quality content on our social media platforms and our YouTube channel subscription has continued to grow season by season highlighting how important and valued this content is to our supporters.
Volunteering as our matchday videographer will provide you with the opportunity to grow your skills and advertise your brand (where applicable).
In exchange for volunteering you will get free access to all home games as well as entry to away games when you are able to attend and filming is permitted. If you think you may be able to help and would like to discuss further please contact:

PRE SEASON FRIENDLIES
There have been plenty of discussions regarding pre season friendlies during the week but as yet we are not able to announce any further confirmed dates.
WILL WRIGHT
Many congratulations to Will Wright who has been signed by Gillingham after playing nearly 150 games for Dagenham & Redbridge. It is always pleasing to see an ex-Canary progress in his career and as Will came through our college programme we are even more proud. Will becomes a great role model for all the players who join our college programme and it shows how far you can go.
