NORTH HERTS FM
This Saturday 25th, Top Field will welcome Redditch United FC to Top Field. We are also pleased to announce that the Community Radio Station North Herts FM, will once again allow us the technology to transmit one arm of our wonderful commentary team “Brian Gray and Freddie Cardy”. Commentary will begin at 2.45pm to build up for the kick off at 3.00pm.

We hope that those of you who cannot make it to the match for various reasons will listen in and support Hitchin Town FC and North Herts FM. This is the second match that we have had the opportunity transmit live, the first being highly successful, Brian and Freddie took to the airwaves like they had worked together for years and brought in a record 859 listeners, outstanding for a friendly and considering it was Freddies 14th Birthday; his professionalism belied his age! We hope to be able to reach listeners who cannot travel for a variety of reasons; and for those of you that have a form of disability; be that of a mobile nature or sight impairment. We want to share the excitement of football with you all. Please also note that Top Field is very Disabled Friendly, there are accessible entrances for wheelchair users, disabled toilets within The Canary Club and Stewards on hand to assist in any way; carers have free entrance.

North Herts FM is THE local community radio station for North Herts. Run by and for local people. Even though North Herts FM has only been on air 5 months, the station already attracts around 5,000 listeners per month and that is growing daily. North Herts FM mission is to create a valuable and sustainable resource for the community of North Herts, supporting local people, charities and businesses and they are fiercely pro Community. They are developing a mobile studio to take to local events and already work closely with a number of great local initiates such as Herts Pride and ourselves, to help realise their goals.

During September there will be another team of commentators ready to share the load with Brian and Freddie and we look forward to introducing them to you.

Download the Android/Apple app (Search for “North Herts FM”) or listen on the website by clicking here.

MARK BURKE ON FORTHCOMING GAMES:

REDDITCH UNITED
After the disappointing first three results we will be looking to start off our season with a positive result against our old rivals Redditch United. This will not be an easy task as our confidence has been dented but the players have worked really hard in the two training sessions leading up to the game and I am hopeful of getting something on Saturday.

BIGGLESWADE TOWN
We travel to Biggleswade on Monday with them having had a very good start which sees them currently in a play-off position. It will be good to catch up with some of our former players that served us well over the years. We will be looking to avenge the double that Biggleswade inflicted on us last season and I urge our supporters to come out in force for this local derby.
