We are proud to support local and national charities with various activities throughout the year. As a club we have three nominated charity partners that we regularly support these are:
Garden House Hospice is a local charity providing free, compassionate end of life care and support to patients and their families.
Their services are available to people living in the communities of North Hertfordshire, Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages in Central Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
Herts Disability Sports Foundation (HDSF) work to support adults and children in Hertfordshire with physical and/or learning disabilities to participate in recreational sporting activities.
Their mission is to “Provide and support opportunities in sports and physical activity that can be accessed by everyone, whether it be through participation, volunteering coaching or education in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.”
Haven First (formerly Stevenage Haven), provides support to those experiencing homelessness in Stevenage and North Hertfordshire. With three sites in Baldock, Hitchin and Stevenage, they are able to provide support and shelter for over 63 residents.
At the centre of what they do, is having a full understanding of the complex issues surrounding homelessness.
We use our footballing activities to support these three charities raising awareness of their work in the community and by raising vital funds to support their work.
