SUMMER SIGNINGS COMMENCE

At the end of a whirlwind week for the Club, Brett Donnelly has continued to make plans for his new squad now with a focus on developing a group with the skills and experience to compete at Step 3. This weeks events have obviously had an impact on Brett and the management teams planning for the season ahead, but we have still been able to bring you the first batch of new players who have agreed to join Hitchin Town FC for 24/25 (subject to completion of league paperwork in the coming weeks).

First up we had Lewis Franklin

The 21-year-old defender is Brett Donnelly’s first signing for the 2024-25 season joining from Brett’s former club Stotfold FC. Prior to this Lewis has also played at Welwyn Garden City FC and Baldock Town FC.

Lewis was also a member of our Pro Direct Hitchin Academy is now one of our coaches for Hitchin Town Community FC based at The Arena.

We then had a returning Canary with Liam Brooks returning to Top Field.

Liam returns to Top Field, having spent last season at Divison One champions Biggleswade Town FC.

Brooks has previously made 67 appearances for the Canaries and was part of the play-off final team against Leamington FC in 2016-17.

Finally we added to the squad the towering presence of Dan Sears

The 24-year-old defender has committed himself to the Canaries for the 2024-25 season.
