We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Brett Donnelly as our new First Team Manager following the conclusion of our recruitment process this week. Brett will take charge from Thursday as we prepare for Saturday’s Home Match against AFC Telford.
Brett is well known to the Hitchin Town FC community having made 150 appearances for the club between 2007-2020 and latterly taking on a First Team Coaching role working for Mark Burke. Brett then left Hitchin Town in 2021 to take on the role of First Team Manager at Stotfold FC where he has helped them rise through the leagues to a secure position at Step 4.

Commenting on the conclusion of our recruitment process and the appointment of Brett, Andy Melvin said:
We had a fantastic response to our request for applicants. It was a difficult process to shortlist candidates for interview such was the high calibre of contenders. All applicants commented on the reputation of the club, the respect for the way in which it is run, the atmosphere created in the historic Top Field ground and the fantastic support from our fans. This highlights the regard in which the club is held across the football community and I would like to thank everyone involved in the club for helping to make it such an attractive proposition for prospective managers to join.
